Depigmentation of melanin cells are the main cause towards developing of Vitiligo. Melanocytes produces melanin cells to protect the ultra-violet rays on the skin as well as maintaining of human skin color. Melanin can be found in the epidermis layer of the skin. The production of melanin cells when becomes retarded or dysfunctional will lead towards appearing irregular white patches on the skin is called Leucoderma or Vitiligo. Inheritance is also one of the factor that could carry on descendents from their forefathers.
