Psoriasis:
This is one of the extreme skin disorder disease which can be seen prominently and have an awful affect making disfigure of the skin with inflamed red flaky lesions some times bleeding and have a
painful affect on the skin. It itch the area showing cracks on the surface of the skin. It can be happened on limbs, joints, scalps and genitalia of the body but it can spread very quickly on the entire body. This makes a person more isolation and the appearance causing him discrimination in the society. The cause of the disease psoriasis is due to the abnormal functioning of keratinocyte cells regenerating very fast instead of their normal life cycle.
This makes the cell excessive on the skin and turning into bad shapes. Usually, the life cycle of regeneration takes a month or less than a month but the same life cycle become so active and regenerate with in 3 to 4days. Psoriaris can be considered as one of the chronic disease and will suffer the patient life style physically and morally. Hence, it is noticeable that the survival with this disease is totally a night for such person and the best solution is to get the treatment as quickly as it can be done. Psoriaris can be characterised as mild, moderate or severity whereas doctors check the condition by scaling on the affected areas and this method is called PASI (Psoriaris Area and Severity Index) as well as inflammed flaky red sking, thickness and scaling.
The severity of psoriaris condition is based on the standard figure betwee 0 and 72. The higher number count consider as severity and need to consult with the Dermatologist as soon as possible. Psoriaris has been shown on different forms on different parts of the human body. Such as Plaque psoriaris is a common form mostly occurred on the knees, scalp, ears, genitalia, etc, whereas psoriaris found on the hands and feet are known as Pustular psoriaris. Children can also be affected on the face have named them as Guttate psoriaris.
Elderly persons above 50 can be found as a chronic plaque turning into excessive inflammation and redness are called Erythrodermic psoriaris. Other than above, there are Scalp psoriaris, Inverse psoriaris and nail psoriaris which also makes patient more painful on the affected areas. The cause of the disease is still unknown but the facts behind is due to the dysfunctional of immune system.
